Khloe Kardashian’s new ads are under fire for body-shaming and airbrushing

No, we can’t keep up with you, Khloe

A new Protein World ad featuring Khloe Kardashian is on the scene everywhere as part of the company’s so-called ’30-day challenge.’ Khloe, who is perfectly airbrushed and literally glowing, poses booty-popped, hand on hip, while the ad asks, “Can you keep up with a Kardashian?”

Of course, many people are none too thrilled.

The main issue with Kardashian’s ad is that this false ’empowerment’ seems to only be achievable under ~certain~ conditions. Though she’s never copped to plastic surgery, she’s even admitted on her show that she got facial fillers that made her “look crazy.” Extreme artificial enhancement aside, Khloe’s new image is all about waist-trainers, detox tea, extreme workouts, restrictive diets and a huge amount of body-shaming.

So Khlo, why are you trying to set an impossible standard for women everywhere when even you can’t achieve what you have without that ‘extra’ help?

Her personal supposed body-positivity campaign started with her own weight loss, then her show Revenge Body, in which she helps women get back at the people who made them feel bad about themselves for whatever reason.

But unfortunately, her intentions just are not hitting the mark, and this ad proves it. We’re not dumb, Khloe, but clearly you think we are.
