Predictions for the final season of Girls, based on this new trailer

We will all want to punch Marnie

While Lena Dunham is busy with her usual cycle of publicly sticking in and then attempting to remove her foot from her mouth, we’re here anxiously awaiting the final season of Girls, which, based on the limited knowledge we have, looks more or less like the other five seasons of Girls.

HBO just dropped the official trailer for season 6, in addition to a so-called “season tease.” In December, they released a 45-second promo. Based on these sources, here are our predictions for the new season.

Shoshanna will don an array of increasingly ridiculous statement earrings to replace her erstwhile statement hairstyles.

We will all want to punch Marnie in the face.

Hannah will, at some point, punch Marnie in the face.

Shoshanna will finally realize she’s too cool for these people and get some new friends (perhaps even “ladies with jobs and purses and nice personalities”).

We will see Hannah’s nipples at least three times and Jessa’s at least once.

This will still, for some reason, be a thing that we all have to talk about on the internet.

We will see Hannah, an aspiring writer, actually write something.

There will be a group meeting in the bathroom that no one but Marnie wants to have.

Jessa will wear something fabulous and be in approximately five scenes the whole season.

Hannah will truly lean in to her passion for fruit-printed clothing.

Andrew Rannells will continue to outshine literally everyone in the cast, with the possible exception of Adam Driver.

Adam will get angry having his shirt off.

Desi will wear entirely too many knit beanies.

Desi and Marnie will absolutely not have anal sex.

Hannah will complain about her weight.

Trench coats will be worn.

There will be some kind of surfing-related blunder played for laughs.

Ray will find out about Desi and Marnie and our collective hearts will break for him and his sad, pouty lips.

There will be another cocaine-induced nightclub dance sequence.

There will be another ill-fated weekend excursion.

Hannah will finally come to realize that the goal of “making her mark on the city” is an ultimately futile one.

We’ll watch every single episode.
