University of Nottingham graduate JERUB caught up with us ahead of his performance at the Kings’ Coronation concert.

JERUB, 24, studied social work at Uni of Notts, graduating in 2020.

A Nottingham local, the singer-songwriter has played at venues across the city, including Bodega, Rock City and Sofa Sounds.

JERUB is performing on Sunday, May 7, alongside Pete Tong and Vula.

Discussing his excitement for the upcoming show, JERUB said:“I feel good. I feel excited. It’s going to be a good show.

“It’s a once in a lifetime thing, a coronation doesn’t happen often.

“I’m really looking forward to it.

“I’m honoured to be a part of it.

“It’s a moment in history, and an eventful moment.

“I’ve never worked alongside Pete Tong and Vula before, I got a call and I was like yeah man, I’ll be there.

“I’m really grateful for the opportunity.”

King Charles III was coronated on Saturday, May 6, at Westminster Abbey, in front of 2,000 guests and millions of worldwide viewers.
