He was rushed to hospital with head and abdomen injuries
Police have cordoned off Walmer Street in Rusholme after a man was stabbed just off the Curry Mile.
Emergency services were called at 10.17am this morning after they got a call reporting a man “with injuries to the head and abdomen”, says a spokeswomen for the North West Ambulance Service. He was rushed to Manchester Royal Infirmary after being stabbed near Rusholme Chippy.
Locals from nearby businesses say there was a fight outside the takeaway this morning, apparently involving two members of staff.
The police are now covering a wide area in their investigation. Great Western Street and Herald Grove have also been cordoned off.
Further details of the fight and the man’s injuries are unknown.
