Leeds drug dealer to hire female drivers so women customers feel safe while picking up

The dealer said ‘no one should feel on edge’

An anonymous Leeds drug dealer decided to recruit female drivers so their women-presenting customers feel safer when picking up drugs.

In a Story post on Snapchat, the dealer said: “Attention all female customers: We have noticed a lot of females looking on edge when picking up or coming out with a friend for safety which is totally understandable so we have decided to recruit female drivers for all female customers to make you feel that little bit safer!

“No one should feel on edge no matter where they are!”

A screenshot of the story was posted to Twitter, and received 60,000 likes in two days. The post has almost 5000 retweets.

One user replied saying: “Dealers are really doing more for women-presenting people feeling safer than the government.” Another commenter said: “When dealers are better than the police.”

Some on Twitter noticed how this idea had the “same energy” as the dealer who “didn’t use baggies because he’s tyrna save the turtles” and the dealer who “donated a percentage of his monthly profits to charity.”

The original poster said he’d share details with those who DM’d him

A Creative Writing student at Leeds Beckett University posted the original tweet with the screenshot. He said he has received over 200 DMs asking for details of the Snapchat account after mentioning he’d share them if people messaged him directly, which he said means he cannot share the details with everyone.

The Leeds Tab’s use of “women” includes trans women.

The Leeds Tab has contacted the Twitter account who posted the original Tweet for comment.
