A second year Trinity College student has died

The College confirmed that the mathematician passed away on the 27th October


A second-year Trinity College student passed away last week. Trinity College confirmed that the mathematician died on the 27th October.

The College went on to confirm that he was not in a self-isolating household.

The College has reminded students of the support services available both within College and University-wide for those who have been affected.

A spokesperson for Trinity College has said: “A second-year mathematician at Trinity College, sadly died on 27 October 2020. The student was not in a household that was self isolating. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very difficult time.

“Support for members of College who have been affected are available from the Chaplains, the Mental Health and Wellbeing Adviser, and the students’ union welfare officers. Students can also contact the University of Cambridge Counselling Service.”
