People are dragging Pamela Bozanich for ‘disgusting’ comments in Menendez Netflix doc

She’s been called a ‘bitter’ and ‘horrible’ person

Following the huge success of Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, Netflix has now released a documentary about the case, titled The Menendez Brothers. One person interviewed for the film was Pamela Bozanich, and she’s now being completely ripped to shreds following her Netflix appearance.

Pamela Bozanich was the prosecutor from the brothers’ first murder trial in 1993. Given the current movement to free the Menendez brothers, Pamela was never going to be everyone’s favourite person, given she very openly thinks their life sentence is what they deserve.

However, Netflix viewers have been particularly infuriated by some of her hypocritical comments during her The Menendez Brothers interview. During the film, the new TikTok movement was mentioned – in which younger people are becoming educated on Lyle and Erik’s case, and posting their thoughts in TikToks. Many have set up accounts dedicated to trying to push for the brothers to be released.

Pamela Bozanich laughed at the idea of people online discussing the case and coming up with their own conclusions, and joked we should just “poll” every criminal case and go with those results. This is all without her really thinking that a court jury literally is a poll of members of public’s opinions.

In one particular comment, after saying she didn’t think the brothers could have used guns in self defence to kill their parents, Pamela said she has guns which she can use against any TikTokers that come her way. Wait, didn’t she just say this wasn’t reasonable?

“The only reason we’re doing this special is because of the TikTok movement to free the ‘Menendi’,” she said. “If that’s how we’re gonna try cases now, why don’t we just, like, have a poll? You present the faces, everybody gets to vote on TikTok, and then we decide who gets to go home.

“Your beliefs are not facts. They’re just beliefs. And by the way, all you TikTok people, I’m armed. We got guns all over the house. So don’t mess with me.”

As you’d probably expect, people haven’t taken too well to the comments. “Pamela Bozanich is a horrible person,” one person on Twitter said. “She got her 15 minutes of fame on this documentary she didn’t have to do that interview and then to tell TikTokers to not come after her and she had guns! DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR!!”

Another added: “This woman made a mockery of their abuse throughout the entire trial and still chooses to dehumanise them to this day. F*ck Pamela Bozanich, disrespectfully.”

Others called out her “disgusting and hateful comments” whilst another pointed out the hypocrisy in what she said about guns, and said: “Pam, honey, you don’t get to play the self defence card when you’ve locked others up for it.”

Throughout the doc, Pamela also made digs at Menendez lawyer Leslie Abramson, including pretty personal hits and speculating at how much money Leslie has now. “Pamela Bozanich still taking digs at Leslie Abramson after 35 years is insane behaviour actually,” someone noted.

People also called Pamela “bitter” for saying she was happy the Menendez brothers were found guilty, but gutted she hadn’t been the one to do it – as the trial she worked out came back with no result.

Ouch.
