From a cop to an alligator hunter: A rundown of Lana Del Rey’s very rogue boyfriends

No one has a more eclectic mix of past boyfriends than Lana Del Rey. Honestly, this is a random group of men ahead. We’re back on the Lana boyfriend train because her latest rumoured man has just gone viral because he’s arguably the most random yet – because of his alligator related job. But Lana has run the gamut of chaos when it comes to the vibe of men she’s dated, so here’s a full rundown of every Lana Del Rey boyfriend we know of.

Barrie-James O’Neill (2011-2014)

The first boyfriend I was aware of of Lana’s, and I’ve been a huge fan since 2011, was Barrie-James O’Neill – her serious partner from 2011 to 2014. Barrie and Lana were often pictured on red carpets, and collabed on a cover of Summer Wine. He also supported some of her early tours.

Lana said of him in 2012 “When I met my boyfriend … we always say that the entire time we were writing for each other, but we didn’t know it until we met each other,” she said. “So, you feel like even though you didn’t know the person then, all the songs are for them now. That’s romantic.”

Later when confirming they’d split, Lana said “He is a wonderful person. But there are some things he has to deal with. I will not explain it in detail. This was hard on our relationship. I no longer felt free.” They’re on good terms though, and he got writing credits on her Blue Banisters album in 2021.

Francesco Carrozzini (July 2014 – November 2015)

G-Eazy fling (2017)

Lana Del Rey briefly had a fling with the rapper in 2017. They met at Coachella and were then pictured clubbing before he went official with Halsey that summer.

In 2020, he wrote lyrics where he seemingly claimed that Lana wants him back.

Sean Larkin (September 2019 – March 2020)

Lana Del Rey then had a romance with Sean Larkin, a cop and reality TV star known for doc series Live PD. When paparazzi pictrued the two of them on a date in Central Park, Lana said “I didn’t know we were being photographed. I would’ve worn something different.”

Sean was pictured with Lana at the Grammy’s in 2020 – but soon after they’d split. He confirmed the two were still friends but their schedules got in the way – he also said they still speak regularly.

Clayton Johnson (2020-2021)

Lana Del Rey met Clayton on a dating app and the two even reportedly got engaged! They posted a lot of pictures together on Instagram before Johnson deleted all the ones with Lana off him in 2021, and splitsville occurred soon after.

Jack Donoghue (2022)

She won with this one, gotta say. Lana Del Rey and Salem band member Jack Donoghue dated in 2022, and there are a lot of pictures of the two of them from the time. It never was fully confirmed, but it’s unwritten lore. On her album last year on the very confessional song Kintsugi, Lana seemingly mentions Jack by name.

The lyric goes: “And I just can’t stop cryin’ ’cause all of the ways / When you see someone dyin’, you see all your days / Flash in front of you / And you think about who would be with you / And then there’s Donoghue”

Evan Winiker (2022-2023)

Not much is known of Evan Winiker being an official Lana Del Rey boyfriend, but they sparked romance rumours after being spotted together at the Malibu Chili Cook Off in 2022. Very Lana place to be. She confirmed they were over in a Variety interview where she said she wasn’t in love when they were filming it.

Jeremy Dufrene (Now)

The latest romance rumours are saying Jeremy Dufrene is the current Lana Del Rey boyfriend. He’s an alligator tour bus runner from Louisiana who Lana apparently met then when she went on the bus as a tourist. Very her.

The two were spotted holding hands backstage at Leeds festival this weekend before Lana went on stage. The two met in 2019 and Lana posted them on her grid and on Facebook, saying “Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours”. It wasn’t romantic at the time, but clearly the two kept in touch!
