Ok, so what is The Real Housewives of the North Pole and is it worth watching?!
Kyle Richards has a starring role
If your festive watchlist lives somewhere between Bravo marathons and cheesy Christmas comfort movies, The Real Housewives of the North Pole might already be popping up on your radar.
It’s not a brand-new Bravo franchise, but it definitely knows exactly who it is winking at.
Set in a town where Christmas is taken very seriously, this holiday film blends over-the-top décor, competitive friendships and familiar Housewives-style tension.
And yes, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills icon Kyle Richards is front and centre.
It’s seasonal and surprisingly self-aware. But should you really add it to your watch queue? Well, that’s another question.
What on earth is The Real Housewives of the North Pole?

First things first, this is not an official Bravo reality series. The Real Housewives of the North Pole is a scripted holiday movie that premiered on Peacock in December 2021. While the title clearly nods to the Real Housewives universe, it is more of a playful parody than a literal spin-off.
The story takes place in the fictional town of North Pole, Vermont, where Christmas is not just a holiday but a full-time personality trait.
Every year, the town hosts a Holiday House decorating competition that is treated with the same intensity as a Housewives reunion.
At the centre of it all are two long-time friends and self-appointed Christmas queens, Trish and Diana. When a disagreement turns icy just days before the competition, their falling out sends shockwaves through the entire town.
What makes the movie especially fun for Housewives fans is how knowingly it leans into familiar tropes.
Think passive-aggressive smiles, social rivalry disguised as tradition, and festive one-upmanship dialled all the way up. It feels like a Hallmark movie that binge-watched Bravo and took notes.

For Bravo fans, the real draw is Kyle Richards. As one of the most recognisable faces in the Real Housewives universe and a long-standing star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle stepping into a holiday movie that lightly spoofs Housewives culture feels extremely on brand.
Kyle plays Trish, one half of the central rivalry and a woman who takes Christmas decorating very seriously.
Her performance is warm, confident and just dramatic enough to feel familiar without becoming a caricature.
People will absolutely spot shades of Kyle’s Housewives persona, especially in how she handles conflict, loyalty and being slightly offended at all times.
She stars opposite Betsy Brandt, best known for her role in Breaking Bad, who plays Diana. Their chemistry carries the film and gives the rivalry some genuine emotional grounding beneath all the tinsel and twinkle lights.
Is it actually Housewives-related?

No, and it is important to go in knowing that! This is not part of Bravo continuity, and there are no confessionals, reunion couches or fourth-wall breaks.
That said, the movie clearly understands Housewives culture and is happy to gently poke fun at it.
Rather than trying to replicate reality television, it borrows the energy. The social hierarchies, the unspoken rules, the competitive friendships and the idea that something small can quickly become a full-blown feud.
It’s basically Housewives energy without the actual cameras!
