He was the man behind SUR, so where is Peter Madrigal from Vanderpump Rules now?
Don't worry, he's still got a cocktail shaker in hand
If Vanderpump Rules has taught us anything, it’s that SUR is basically a character in its own right and for years, Peter Madrigal was the steady, slightly exasperated grown-up keeping the Pumptinis flowing while everyone else spiralled.
Now that the show’s reboot is officially airing with a brand-new cast, it’s only natural to wonder where that leaves the OG manager we all remember hovering behind the bar?
Peter was an OG

Peter wasn’t an OG in the sense of being the loudest in the confessional or the messiest at a pool party, he was OG because he was actually part of the SUR machine before the cameras even arrived.
He started working at SUR in 2008, began in the trenches as a busboy, worked his way up to server and bartender, and has been in a managerial role since 2011, per Bravo.
That’s why he always felt different to the cast members who treated SUR like a glamorous pit stop on the way to DJ careers, cocktail books, and (eventually) therapy bills.
Peter’s whole vibe was basically “I have a shift. I have a restaurant to run. Please stop shouting near the host stand.”
And even when he was involved in storylines, dating rumours, awkward flirtations, being dragged into other people’s drama, he tended to be the one stressing that he couldn’t manage SUR and be in the chaos at the same time.
Delving into his life post-Pump Rules

Although the rest of the Vanderpump Rules OGs were axed ahead of the reboot, Peter is still at SUR. Bravo recently described him as still a manager at SUR, essentially serving as a bridge between Lisa Vanderpump’s new era of SUR-vers and the original world viewers grew up watching.
Season 12 is a true reboot, a new cast is front and centre, and the season premiered Tuesday, December 2, 2025, with episodes airing Tuesdays on Bravo, and streaming the next day on Peacock.
So while a lot of familiar faces have rotated out, Peter is one of the few who still feels woven into the restaurant’s everyday reality.
Outside of SUR, he’s also been quietly stacking side quests.
He’s explored a production company focus, has worked part-time in real estate as an agent with Compass, and has leaned into fan-facing gigs like Cameo and Pump Rules merch.
And if you’ve ever fallen down the social-media rabbit hole at one in the morning, yes, he’s also known for sharing cocktail content online.
