Transgender reality TV star announced they’re de-transitioning after ‘God told him to’
'God told me to sacrifice the one thing that means so much to you'
Reality TV star Inno Matijane decided to detransition after claiming that God told to sacrifice the thing in his life that meant the most to him.
Inno starred in a LGBTQ+ reality TV show for five years and decided to detransition at the start of last year, after claiming God told him to.
He posted: ” If there’s one thing I can ask you guys, please don’t use my revelation against the LGBTQ+ community. Again, I said ‘I am still attracted to guys’, but I am choosing God before everything and my desires.
“Including what I thought was important to me. God said, “come as are you” and I did that, to be reborn. I didn’t go to God to be straight; I went to God because I needed him, the rest it’s on him.
“That includes surrendering everything, including my feelings, my thoughts etc. Please this is not a “gottcha” moment to the queer community. In fact, y’all should love people as they are and not weaponise the Bible.”
He continued: “They’re children of God, like me and you but I love God more. That’s why the LGBTQ+ community don’t go to church or God.
“I also said that though I am born out of sin I am choosing to not act upon it. If I have a different Revelation in a week or a year, that’s also okay. Man, just be kind. But I am surrendering everything to God, choosing God.
“I can’t pick and choose bible verses, if my life is not a representation of his Kingdom, I am definitely going to live the way he wants me to live, whether that sits right with me or not, he comes first. I can’t be 50 per cent in and 50 per cent out.”
Inno told MambaOnline: “I decided to start reading the Bible from scratch. That’s when I met a revelation, and God told me, ‘You need to sacrifice the one thing that means so much to you.’ And for me, that was my gender identity.”
