Lil Tay previously faced backlash after she was filmed saying a racial slur at nine years old
She's now facing criticism for launching an OnlyFans account hours after turning 18
Lil Tay has come under controversy again recently for launching an OnlyFans account mere hours after turning 18, but she has a long history of backlash.
When she was just nine years old, Lil Tay had her own reality TV show called Life with Lil Tay, where she directly addressed her use of the racial slur.
The slur she used was the n-word, with her apologising for using it during the premiere episode of her show.
She explained: “It’s just that everyone was telling me that it’s OK. So when I filmed the video, I just thought it was OK and I didn’t really think that much of it.
“I really apologise to everyone I offended… I just want to say that I’m not racist at all.”
Her half brother Jason also commented on the incident during the episode, claiming that other people had told Lil Tay at the time the word was okay to use.
He claimed: “Most of the African-American people that were helping, they were advising that it wasn’t racist. It was just another term to address your friends.”
Their mother added: “It’s never OK to use [the N-word]. I never thought that you guys would be racist.”
Since that incident, other videos resurfaced where she was heard using other racial slurs alongside other aggressive language.
