Let’s be real: All Islanders who used a racial slur deserve to be removed, including Cierra
Any form of racism should be taken seriously
Right, so Cierra has been the subject among many of Love Island USA viewers, with her losing a lot of followers after it was discovered she has used racial slurs in the past. Yulissa was already removed at the start of season seven after videos showed her using the n-word.
As an Asian woman, I was shocked to see that Cierra had made a racial slur towards an ethnic minority, and expected she’d be removed straight away, especially based on how quickly producers made sure that they wouldn’t stand for racism that Yulissa made.
So when Cierra still appeared in the episode, and producers made no statement to remove her from the villa, regardless of how strong her connection is with Nic, I feel as though a slur towards one ethnic group isn’t being taken as seriously as it was taken towards another.

I’ve noticed that quite a few Asian people are now speaking out and urging producers to remove Cierra immediately. At this point, it’s almost becoming apparent that there is bias within the production team, because racism of any kind should be addressed.
While the production team had a crisis meeting and are furious about what Cierra said, there’s saying something, and then taking action to put those actions into play. Why should Yulissa have been removed and Cierra be kept in, regardless of how long she’s been in there?

There’s still hope that Love Island USA will remove Cierra from the villa, as people noticed she had less screen time and took into account that filming takes place a few days before the episodes go out. But either way, there’s only been crickets since the news came out.
