The victim allegedly had 'difficulty breathing' after the incident
A former Love Island USA star has been charged with assault for an alleged incident. A report comes from Salt Lake City, where he currently lives. Cashel Barnett reportedly received charges for “one felony count of aggravated assault, one count of domestic violence in the presence of a child, and two counts of misdemeanour assault.”

On Monday, Love Island USA alum, Cashel Barnett, was charged with assault by the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office, per FOX13.
The victim of the alleged domestic violence assault is reportedly the mother of Cashel’s one-year-old child.
Charging documents state that she reported the incident on April 24, two weeks after it allegedly occurred.
The report is said to have included a request that “a warrant with no bail be issued.”
It added that the former reality TV star “would constitute a substantial danger to the alleged victim of domestic violence if released on bail.”
Victim details harrowing claims
The victim of the alleged incident detailed the incident in court documents per FOX13.
The mother of Cashel’s child said, per court documents, that the two “got into an argument…”
“She tried to hug him to calm him down before he slapped her arms away, and then when she walked away, picked her up by the neck and threw her onto the bed.”
The woman added how Cashel “applied continuous pressure of eight out of ten, during which time she was unable to breathe and her vision went blurry.”
She added that he also slapped her in the face and then told her she was “fine.”
Following the incident, the woman said she had difficulty breathing and various symptoms of neck or throat injury.
She also detailed other symptoms such as “nausea, vomiting, agitation, amnesia, memory loss, visual changes, and headache.”
Cashel found reality TV stardom on Love Island USA season one. He arrived on day one and was eliminated on day 17.
He now reportedly works as a “model and musician” per Love Island USA wiki.
