Producers punished the entire Traitors cast after Kate Chastain broke this huge rule
They were forced to take drastic action
It turns out that Kate Chastain broke such a massive rule on season three of The Traitors that the producers were forced to punish the cast of future seasons by removing this one feature.
But what exactly did Kate do that means the producers had to step in and take such drastic action?

Well, according to Dolores Catania, Kate allegedly found a way to communicate with her friends and family through the TV in her hotel room, despite a strict ban being put on outside communications.
Dolores told Page Six that cast members have limited access to their phones whilst on The Traitors, and when producers figured out what Kate Chastain was doing, they removed everyone’s remote controls for the TVs.
She revealed: “I heard Kate Chastain learned how to talk to her friends with the clicker, and so they took it away from everyone. You could go on YouTube with the remote, so [now] no one gets a remote!”

As for how exactly Kate was using the TV to communicate, Dolores theorised that she was using “YouTube to email – I think.” I’m going to be perfectly honest: I have absolutely no clue how that is possible, but maybe Kate knows some YouTube hack we don’t.
She added: “Kate Chastain is so smart. She is so smart and brilliant and funny.”
Still, it’s unfortunate that the future cast members of The Traitors won’t be able to use the TV because of Kate’s rule-breaking behaviour, and she was only on the show for one episode!
