After her new naked Novig sports ad, people think they’ve spotted more “proof” that her Euphoria co-stars, including Zendaya, Hunter Schafer and Alexa Demie, dislike Sydney Sweeney. Sydney’s controversial Novig campaign was released on September 9. The “Just Sports” campaign features Sydney posing nude with different sports equipment, including footballs, basketballs, tennis equipment and hockey gear. Sydney has defended the idea, calling it “a very simple and playful idea” that was meant to “really bring the concept of ‘just sports’ to life.” Since then, the advert has received plenty of backlash, including from people who argue that the campaign sexualises women rather than actually celebrating women in sport. Now, just a few days later, Sydney’s Euphoria co-stars Zendaya, Alexa Demie and Hunter Schafer were spotted having dinner together in New York City. The trio met up at Rule of Thirds in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, on September 11, according to E! News. They were photographed together, while Sydney was noticeably absent. Obviously, people online quickly connected the dots and decided this was more “proof” that the Euphoria stars don’t like Sydney. One person wrote on X, “I know they must be b**ching about Sydney Sweeney.” Another said, “I just know the debrief was juicy.” Someone else wrote, “MAGA Sweeney OUT”, while another posted, “I know [she] was a topic of conversation.” And people are bringing up the old feud rumours Hunter Schafer went out to dinner with Zendaya and Alexa Demie in New York City. pic.twitter.com/dfN9NyQVsu — 21 (@21metgala) September 12, 2026 This also isn’t the first time people have speculated about Sydney’s relationship with her Euphoria co-stars. Sydney has previously addressed rumours that she was feuding with the cast. Speaking to Vanity Fair in June, she said, “We all grew up together on this show, so it’s honestly crazy to watch how much social media and the press spin things.” She was also asked about rumours that scheduling problems had caused tension around season three. Sydney explained, “I was in first position to HBO. So the moment they say, ‘Hey, this is the first day of filming,’ I’m legally not allowed to do anything else. So my schedule doesn’t affect the show. And so that was funny to watch everybody spin narratives on it.” She added, “All of us were in first position, so it wasn’t like any of our schedules were holding it up.” So Sydney has previously pushed back on the idea that there was a feud between her and her co-stars. But people are still convinced there’s something going on. Fans have pointed to the fact that Sydney hasn’t been seen in promotional appearances with Zendaya and the other cast members. A source also claimed Zendaya refused to do press with her because of their political differences. Now, the timing of the New York dinner, coming just days after Sydney’s controversial Novig campaign, has given people plenty to talk about. Whether it actually means anything is another question entirely. For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page. Post navigation Next storyPrevious story
