Belmont Cameli mass deletes his Ella Bright posts and Off Campus fans are spiralling

The Off Campus fandom is once again in turmoil after Garrett actor Belmont Cameli archived a series of Instagram posts, many of which include his co-star Ella Bright. 

Belmont, Ella and the rest of the cast shot to overnight fame after the release of Amazon Prime’s hockey romance adaptation in May, and much like Heated Rivalry, it led to an incredibly intense fandom following the show’s fictional couples and the actors who play them.

But the lines between the two quickly became blurred, sparking speculation about Belmont and Ella following their performances as on-screen couple Garrett and Hannah. 

Belmont’s real-life girlfriend Raina Morris even had to publicly address the fans after she accidentally unfollowed Ella on Instagram and faced “jealousy” allegations.

The actors confirmed there were no tensions behind the scenes, and the Off Campus social media page even sent out a statement asking fans not to engage in “targeted harassment”. 

Everything seemed to have died down of late, allowing the cast to focus on their careers and film the second chapter, which is set to follow the third book in Elle Kennedy’s saga, where Allie (Mika Abdalla) and Dean (Stephen Kalyn) are the main couple. 

But once again, speculation has ramped up after fans noticed something strange going on with Belmont’s Instagram account. 

Off Campus fans clocked which posts had disappeared

On Friday, August 28, a number of followers took to X to share a series of Instagram posts Belmont appears to have deleted from his page, many of which include him and Ella during the Off Campus press tour. 

Among the removed posts are the pair behind the scenes of The Today Show, their Pop Sugar cover photo shoot, their red carpet appearance at the Brazil premiere, and them on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Off Campus fan page maYra shared screenshots of the removed posts, as did fellow Off Campus fan account Vanessa Bright, who also wrote, “The Belmont Cameli deletions for those who were curious. 

“Yes they are all official OC promos with Ella Bright. Yes some of his random dumps with her in them survived. Yes I think this is unprofessional, he knows it will be noticed, and looks like he dgaf about OC achievements.”

In a follow-up tweet, they shared the deleted snap of the two actors on Jimmy Fallon, claiming Ella deleted her solo post to reupload the collab with Belmont. 

“This was an event that Bel said he was so ‘proud and honored’ to be a part of. I don’t know what he’s going through, but he needs to grow up,” the fan page commented.

Not every post has been removed, however, with Belmont leaving up a May 17 carousel of photos and videos from Off Campus, the first of which is of him and Ella. 

Even so, fans have questions, with many jumping straight to accusations that he’s being disrespectful. “He just deleted the posts with her, the cover, and the photo shared from Jimmy’s show with E. It’s very unprofessional of him,” said one. 

Another wrote, “I’m annoyed and I’m done with Belmont Cameli for now! He changed his professional Instagram profile pic but deleted the promotional posts featuring Ella Bright! She’s his co-star and will continue to be for another three seasons! She doesn’t deserve that.”

But others have defended him, accusing the Off Campus fandom of reading too much into everything. “I thought the Heated Rivalry fandom was bad, but Off Campus is somehow even more unhinged,” said one. 

A second wrote, “You guys are so f**king parasocial holy sh*t. He archived posts because he wanted to! Yes, some of them had Ella in them, but literally you’re making a bigass deal out of nothing.”

Despite all the speculation, neither Belmont nor Ella has publicly suggested there are any issues between them, both still follow each other on Instagram and there’s currently nothing to indicate why the posts were archived.
