Expertise

Working as a journalist during political events such as the 2024 election, I enjoy working with stories involving politics and current affairs. My legal background has given me expertise in stories with a more legal grounding. I hope to work in broadcast or online journalism after university.

  • I was elected President of UoN Law Society 2024-25, organising 63 networking & careers events across the year and representing 1500 student members.
  • I worked as a Stringer for ITV and PA on election night in 2024, providing results to the general public and giving reports used in official coverage on a strict deadline.
  • I have Newsroom experience at BBC East Midlands Today. During my time here, I worked with journalists by helping to propose and find stories that were used in official coverage and broadcasted on TV. I also wrote up some stories with the media team here.

Experience

I have experience across different parts of the journalism industry. Namely, I worked as a Stringer for ITV and PA, dealing with on-the-ground and time sensitive work. I also have experience in the BBC Newsroom, helping to find and propose stories for TV coverage and writing up some stories for the East Midlands Today team.

Education

I am a final year LLB Law with European Law student at University of Nottingham. In 2025-26 I was selected to attend the University of Vienna as part of the Erasmus + scheme.
