It’s never been the same since she left, so why did Christine Quinn quit Selling Sunset?
It was a trainwreck at the time
The new season of Selling Sunset is probably one of the most dramatic ones we’ve ever had, but I fear none of the cast will compare to the icon that was Christine Quinn.
The show hasn’t quite seemed the same since she left three years ago in 2022, but why did she decide to quit Selling Sunset in the first place? Let’s take a trip down memory lane to find out!

During the Selling Sunset season five finale, Christine Quinn revealed that she was struggling after she returned from maternity leave.
She explained: “I really just feel like it’s becoming difficult for me to just do my job. Because I’m constantly up against different bulls**t and I feel like I’ve just gotten to a point where I just don’t want to be in the office because it gets to a point where the drama is affecting my business and I don’t want that.”
Then some serious drama happened on-screen when Emma told Jason and Mary that Christine had allegedly offered Emma’s client $5k to no longer work with her.
Whilst Christine didn’t directly address the allegations, she tweeted at the time: “Enjoy the new season and all of its 5,000 fake storylines!”

However, Christine then failed to attend her disciplinary meeting, and claimed there was “absolutely no truth” to the allegations, and that she didn’t need to report to “mommy and daddy.”
Christine Quinn also didn’t attend the Selling Sunset reunion, with her representative saying it was because she had tested positive for coronavirus.
However, Jason addressed whether they would let Christine back into the office, commenting: “Right now, there’s not a place for her at the Oppenheim Group.
“Now, in the future, if she takes real estate seriously, if I can get an understanding of her perspective on things, if she changes her behavior, if she brings in a big listing, there’s a lot of reasons where I would consider her having a place at the Oppenheim Group, but I have to say that right now, there is no place.”

Then on April 30th 2022, it was confirmed that Christine Quinn has decided to quit Selling Sunset, with Us Weekly confirming it was her “decision to leave the Oppenheim Group.”
She and her former husband Christian Dumontet launched their own company, which allowed anyone to purchase or sell a property using crypto.
She told People: “I terminated my contract with The Oppenheim Group when the brokerage launched. I had to make a business decision that was for me, so I had to terminate the contract so I could move it over to my brokerage.”
As for whether Christine Quinn would ever return to Selling Sunset, she confessed to Entertainment Weekly that she’d “never come back.”
She explained: “”I would never come back in a million years. But absolutely not. I mean, it’s… no.”
