Inside Tape, the boujie nightclub mentioned on Love Island where a table costs £1k minimum
Girls get turned away if they’re not wearing heels
We’re only a week into Love Island 2025 and London’s Tape nightclub has been getting its fair share of free promo from Dejon and Meg.
It all started when Dejon told her he was a bit of a party boy and you’ll find him there every weekend, which she quickly turned around on him.
When they had an argument, she told him to “go back to Tape”. Then things got even more awkward when Malisha revealed she likes Tape too.
“What does she do? Stand in Mayfair and go to Tape every weekend? Boring,” Meg told the girls as an insult. Classic Love Island.
So, what actually is Tape?! Here’s a look inside the swanky London venue everyone is talking about on the reality TV show this year.

Tape is in Mayfair, obviously
Tape is an exclusive nightclub on Hanover Square in Mayfair that operates mainly as a private members’ club, but non-members are also welcome as guests of current members. If you don’t know anyone who’s a member, you have to submit a request to attend.
The main venue is only open on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11pm to 3:30am, but on Fridays and Saturdays the party moves into their speakeasy-type room called Little Tape until 5:30pm the following day. So, you could literally stay there all weekend.
They play house music and R&B, but they do have special events where some of the world’s biggest musicians come and perform too, like AJ Tracey and Ashanti.

A table will set you back a fortune
You’ll need a lot of cash because the most basic table has a £1,000 minimum spend, and that goes up to £3,000 for bigger tables and VIP ones. You can pay £20 entry on the door too, if the bouncer lets you in, but you’ll have to stand up the whole night.
There’s a super strict dress code
The dress code is really strict and if you don’t follow it, you’re definitely not getting in. You’re not allowed to wear sportswear, shorts for men, hot pants, open toe shoes, sunglasses, man bags or “dirty everyday trainers”. Plus, you can’t wear anything that’s too casual, revealing or makes your underwear visible.

It only has three stars on Google
It’s supposed to be the place to be in London, but the club only had three stars on Google, with a mixed bag of reviews. If you’ve got money and are prepared to splash the cash, it sounds like you’ll have a great time, as long as you follow the dress code that is.
A lot of the bad reviews are because the bouncers didn’t people in even though they apparently followed the right dress code. Lots of women are saying they were turned away because they weren’t wearing heels, so it sounds like that’s a strict requirement.
Basically, there’s a certain clientele they want in Tape. Lots of pretty girls in stilettos filling up the dancefloor and rich men sitting at the tables to buy them drinks. To be honest, what else would you expect from a Mayfair nightclub?
