Courtyard
I couldn’t make this list without including one of the student essentials, Courtyard. From cheap pints to inexpensive food, this bar has everything that a worn out athlete (or spectator) could need to get themselves back into top form. It’s also a bit of fantastic York student culture that is sure to impress our opposition.
Drift In
If you’re looking for a caffeine fix after having to wake up bright and early, either to compete or support, Drift-in is your best bet. With a wide array of food, drinks and sweet treats, this cafe in the centre of York is sure to provide everything you could need to recharge after Roses. What’s more is that they also offer a student discount – which means even more savings!
Dusk
After having spent a tiring couple of days playing sports, there is nothing students love more that letting loose and enjoying a couple of drinks. Dusk is the ideal student bar. It has two for one cocktails, a lively atmosphere and incredible drinks. It’s the perfect student haven if you’re looking to have a good time and celebrate with friends over a (hopeful) York victory.
Victor J’s
If you’re looking for a more chill drinking experience, you could try this snicket bar that is situated in the centre of York. It serves fantastic pub food in the afternoon and two for twelve cocktails all day round. What’s more is they have a wide selection of board games to keep you entertained whilst you are drinking, making it the perfect place to go to eat, drink or play!
The Link
Situated in the Church Lane building, the Link provides a different culinary experience for an equally low price. The Link has a selection of asian inspired food that is sure not to break the bank, not to mention its incredibly tasty. What’s more is that both the Link and Courtyard are situated on our campus, so they’re super easy to navigate to after watching some sport!
