All the It Ends With Us cast who’ve spoken out about the lawsuit – and what they’ve said
Cast members have been making statements about Blake Lively’s legal complaint
Justin Baldoni was slapped with a legal complaint this week after allegedly inappropriate behaviour on the set of It Ends With Us and spearheading a “smear campaign” against cast member Blake Lively.
In a lawsuit that named 11 others alongside Justin, Blake alleged “inappropriate and unwelcome behaviour towards Ms Lively and others on the set of It Ends With Us,” which then spiralled into a campaign to “destroy” her reputation.
It Ends With Us, a devastating story about domestic abuse, featured Blake and Justin in the leading roles. We have, of course, heard from both of them – with Justin’s legal team denying any wrongdoing – but what did the rest of the cast have to say about It Ends With Us and Justin’s alleged behaviour?
Brandon Sklenar – Atlas Corrigan
Back in August, when the drama and alleged “smear campaign” was in full swing, Atlas Corrigan actor Brandon Sklenar addressed the controversies with a lengthy statement on Instagram.
“Colleen and the women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance, and for women choosing a better life for themselves. Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about. It is, in fact, the opposite of the point,” he said.
Brandon felt it was “disheartening” to see the negativity surrounding the film when there wasn’t a single cast member who wasn’t “aware of the responsibility we had in making this.”

After Justin Baldoni’s alleged transgressions were revealed by The New York Times, Brandon took to Instagram again with a link to the legal complaint. Alongside the link, he posted “For the love of God read this” while tagging Blake Lively.
Jenny Slate – Alyssa
Comedian and actress Jenny Slate, who plays Alyssa in the controversial film, issued a gushing statement about Blake before the film’s release, going as far as to say she fell “deeply” in love with her.
“I deeply fell in love with her,” Slate told Entertainment Tonight. “Obviously, I have admired Blake for so long. … [She’s a] deeply trustworthy person who is also willing to share. We had long talks. I was never expecting to have the off-set experience that I had. I was really eager to work with Blake, but to really make a friend and someone who is so capable in so many ways — like, just like a genuine winner … I’m just so grateful for this sweet person.”
After the news earlier this week, Jenny told TODAY she unequivocally stands with Blake Lively who she described as a loyal friend and “trusted source.”
“As Blake Lively’s castmate and friend, I voice my support as she takes action against those reported to have planned and carried out an attack on her reputation,” she shared in a statement. “Blake is a leader, loyal friend and a trusted source of emotional support for me and so many who know and love her.”
Hasan Minhaj – Marshall
During the film’s initial drama in the summer, Hasan Minhaj kept silent on specifics while affirming that he had nothing but good experiences on the set.
“I can’t speak to other people’s experience, but everybody was very professional and cool to me,” he told Esquire in September. “It was lovely and everybody was lovely, and it is just as disillusioning for me, because I’m like, ‘What happened? Wait, what’s going on?’”
Hasan is yet to make a statement about Blake’s legal complaint, though he did present Justin Baldoni with the recently removed Vital Voices Solidarity Award just one week before the bomb dropped.
