Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield have finally spoken out about *that* Golden Globes kiss
They described the kiss as ‘perfect’
Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield have reunited for the first time since their steamy kiss at the 2017 Golden Globes Awards and let’s just say the tension was palpable.
The pair met once again during Variety’s Actors on Actors YouTube show, with both Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield speaking out about their true feelings on the now viral kiss.

In case you missed the passionate moment or need a refresher, the two locked lips after both Ryan Reynolds and Andrew missed out on an Oscar to Ryan Gosling for his role in La La Land.
Ryan recalled: “Garfield’s sitting beside me and goes, ‘Hey, if they call your name and you win, don’t kiss your wife, just kiss me.”
After it was announced Ryan won the Oscar, the pair decided they should just “kiss anyway” but later felt bad that they’d stolen the moment from Ryan Gosling, as immediately after the announcement the camera was focused on the kiss rather than Ryan Gosling.
Andrew explained that he later reached out to Ryan Gosling, saying: “I was able to apologize to Ryan about that, thankfully, and say I’m so, so sorry.”
Andrew said to Ryan during the interview: “I’m glad that you were you were game for that, and I also retrospectively felt a little bit insensitive towards Ryan’s moment.”
Ryan responded: “I did too, but I was so grateful that it was such a wide shot that nobody actually noticed until later and it was actually kind of perfect.”

Andrew previously talked about the kiss on The Late Show in 2017, saying he kissed his fellow actor because he “just wanted Ryan to know I loved him no matter whether he won or lost.”
As for what Ryan Gosling thinks about the whole thing, he told Metro: “I’m happy for them. I’m happy they found each other.” What a beautiful love story.
