Monica from Love Is Blind shuts down Stephen’s claims they’re friends after he cheated
Monica was not having any of it
The Love Is Blind season seven reunion ignited more chaos than closure and gave exes the perfect opportunity to speak their truth after a year of keeping quiet. Monica and Stephen were out of the experiment by episode seven after Stephen infamously sent dirty text messages to another woman while being at a sleep test. While the test was proven to be real by Stephen, his relationship with Monica was no more, and she was quick to tell that to the Love Is Blind viewers at the reunion.
At the reunion, she spoke with E! News about what she labelled a “really tough” split.
“I think that leading up to the reunion, there’s been a lot of confusion because of things that have been on social media,” Monica explained. “Maybe Stephen is perhaps trying to present this narrative that we’re much closer than we are or cooler than we are.”
Stephen shared behind-the-scenes pictures of the couple while episodes were being released
Stephen originally shared an array of photos of him and Monica on Instagram the night before his cheating scandal aired, but they were taken down sometime around the reunion.
Monica did say she looked forward to seeing him at the reunion because she “wanted to be able to hold him accountable” once they saw each other again.
What happened after the show?
Monica explained that they “never really got closure,” because of their abrupt ending on Love Is Blind. “When I found those texts, it was just all of a sudden, all hell broke loose and I didn’t really get any answers. I didn’t really understand what had happened.”

“So, we went out to dinner once shortly after the breakup and since then have just been on cordial terms, I would say,” she continued. “Not in much contact, there’s no depth there at all. I won’t even say mutual respect, but there is just a level of grace.”
Where do they stand now?
Monica had little to say about their relationship now, which is practically non-existent. “We’re in a better place now,” she said, “but we’re not good friends.”
