What your post night out scran says about you as a student in Nottingham

There is no better feeling than that first bite of takeaway after a memorable night

| UPDATED

At the end of any good night out, there is one thing we all look forward to: The post night out scran.

From the classic kebab to a good old-fashioned Maccies, to whatever you could find in the fridge if you’re really desperate, here’s what your post-night out scran says about you.

Kebab and chips

An absolute classic. The quintessential British post drunken night out cuisine.

To be honest, you can’t be faulted. You are a normal, down-to-earth person who gets along with everyone and are most likely chatting away in the queue.

Pretty solid choice, especially if you forgo the salad. Also, there are seldom many more beautiful moments in life than when you are 50p short and bossman says: “Don’t worry bro, just pay me back next time”.

Truly brings a tear to your eye.

Chicken nuggets and chips

You haven’t matured past the humbling age of 14. This is literally what we all ordered back in year 10 when we still had a fake ID in our pocket. Granted, it isn’t the worst choice, but still far from ideal.

Cheesy chips

You are someone who likes to take small risks now and again. Although you’ve generally got used to a bit of mild disappointment, considering the quality of cheesy chips can range from god-tier to a borderline health hazard.

McDonald’s

Another absolutely amazing choice. Next to the classic doner kebab, a 20 nugget box or Big Mac meal is right up there with the best post-night out scran. You have great taste and you stick to things you know and trust.

You are a little bit of a walking cliché, but aren’t we all to some extent?

Domino’s

You are either really bourgeois or you’ve somehow been roped into buying food for everyone at 3am during a really weird afters.

Either that, or you are one of two types of people: You are very generous and like to look after your friends, or on the other extreme, you love to indulge in excess every now and then.

Still a good choice though.

Cooking your own stuff

Cooking your own scran after a night out is very bold and, to be honest, absolutely insane behaviour.

You are the type of person to not check the weather forecast before going on holiday and turn up with all the wrong clothes. Results may vary depending on your cooking skill and how many VKs you’ve had in Crisis.

Bread and crisps

A student rite of passage.

Either you’re well into your overdraft, or you’ve not picked up a kebab on the gambit that you can order something from JustEat when you get home.

You realise everything is shut, there’s nothing in the fridge worth cooking, and your only options are bread and crisps.

You’ve truly hit the definition of rock bottom, and the situation is one of true sadness.
