MAFS UK groom Stephen is a former Mormon, here’s how old he was when he had his kids

Stephen and Hannah’s MAFS UK 2024 relationship didn’t exactly get off to a smooth start during their honeymoon and it’s safe to say the “peaceful” comment told us all we need to all. Whilst viewers were wondering what the conversations that Stephen and Hannah had off camera were about, it turns out there’s another aspect we didn’t know about Stephen’s past.

As the Metro exclusively revealed, Stephen got married to his ex-wife when he was 18 and ended up joining the Mormon religion as she was a member of the Mormon Church.

However, the couple ended up splitting when he was 25 and Stephen realised he no longer wanted to follow the Mormon lifestyle, and so distanced himself from the Mormon Church.

He told Metro: “I was young. I’d like to understand who I am as a partner now I’m 33, and what I can bring to a relationship now that’s maybe different to back then.  I hope to learn about myself on a deeper level.”

From pictures posted on his Facebook page, it looks like when Stephen was around 24 in 2015 he already had three kids, with one of them looking under one and the two others between the ages of four to seven.

His four kids are 14, 12, eight and seven years old with his daughter being the eldest of the four. That means Steven and his wife had their first baby together back in 2010 when Steven was 19. They would have had their next child in 2012, with another following in 2016 and their fourth baby in 2017.

According to his Facebook and Instagram pages, Stephen then moved to Australia in 2019 and seemed to stay there for around a year or two before returning to the UK. It looks like he’s living his best life although judging by the preview for tonight’s dinner party it’s not going to be smooth sailing for him and Hannah…
