P Diddy’s lawyer says he is very eager to ‘tell his story’ and testify at his own trial
His lawyer says it will be impossible to ‘keep him off the stand’
P Diddy is very eager to tell his side of the story during his trial, according to his defence lawyer. Marc Agnifilo, the lawyer representing P Diddy, told TMZ that the rapper “can’t wait” to get on the stand.
P Diddy is currently being held at a detention centre in Brooklyn after his arrest on the 16th of September this year due to allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering – all of which he has denied. He is being held without bail until his trial begins, and it seems he’s very eager to tell his version of events.
Most criminal defendants don’t take to the stand and testify during a trial, but defence lawyer to P Diddy, Marc Agnifilo, opened up about P Diddy’s plans to speak up for himself in a teaser video for TMZ’s new documentary, titled The Downfall of Diddy.
The defence lawyer told TMZ: “I don’t know that I could keep him off the stand. I think he is very eager to tell his story.”
Marc was asked that if due to the nature of the Cassie video, he believed it would be better to urge P Diddy to stay off of the stand. “I think he will tell every part of his story including what you see on the video, so I expect it’s going to be explained by the both of us.”
The lawyer also said that in regards to the Cassie video, “he can tell it only in a way he can tell it. It’s a human story.”
