In the latest twist in the JoJo Siwa and Eurovision tale, the Polish bosses of Eurovision say they haven’t spoken with the singer after she says she has been in discussions to represent Poland at Eurovision. JoJo has posted a number of TikToks claiming this and has flown to Poland where she says she’s been in “exciting meetings”.

The Polish broadcaster TVP, who are the ones responsible for starting talks and negotiations about what artists will represent Poland for Eurovision 2025, have confirmed to BBC Newsbeat that it wasn’t speaking to any artists regarding participation yet and had made no decisions for next year.

This is in major contrast to everything JoJo Siwa has said about Eurovision, with the Polish bosses completely contradicting her. JoJo Siwa has said regarding Eurovision participation that she’s had “real talks” regarding representing the country.

In a video where she’s getting ready to travel to Poland, JoJo explains “Somebody asked if I was going to do it at Eurovision because it was going viral in Poland. I initially jokingly replied to the comment saying yes, but now it’s actually become a real conversation. Eurovision’s into it, we’re talking to the people in Poland because each country essentially decides who goes to Eurovision.

“We’ve been talking to everybody, obviously there’s a lot of logistics. One of the big logistics is I have a project I’m committed to for when Eurovision is actually happening but I might be able to make both work. If Poland wants me to represent, I will be there. I will make it happen.

“For Eurovision you can’t do a song that’s already been heard, and I did come up with a song that I would 100 per cent do. I can’t wait.”
