After making a name for herself just two years into her professional career by landing a role in Gossip Girl, Blake Lively is big on female empowerment and self made success. But people are only now discovering that Blake’s parents were actually in the same Hollywood industry themselves.

So whilst she exudes big independent woman energy, namely following the number of side hustles she juggles alongside her career, the internet is finally starting to realise that Blake Lively is a nepo baby in disguise.

Despite not actually being particularly interested in acting, Blake was literally surrounded by actors throughout her childhood. And with her whole family in the industry, everyone is starting to wonder how much of her success is chalked up to hard work, and how much is from the leg up she got from her parents.

Born to Ernie Lively, an actor and acting coach, and Elaine Brown, a talent scout, it seems like Blake was destined to be an actor right from the get go. She even attended her parents’ acting classes when she was tiny as they didn’t want to leave her with a babysitter – so she has literally been surrounded by actors since she was born.

She previously said that attending classes with her parents helped teach her the “drills” and gain confidence as she got older and began working in the industry, with her first professional debut being when she was only 10 in the 1998 film Sandman, directed by her father.

Describing her role in her father’s film as a “bit part”, she eventually landed her first role as as Bridget in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants whilst in high school after her elder brother asked his his talent agent to send her to several auditions.

Five of Blake’s siblings have also worked in the entertainment industry so whatever her parents did, they were thorough to say the least.
