Inside the party girl life of Cat, when she’s not dating in the Love Is Blind UK pods

There are a few big characters in the first season of Love Is Blind UK – and undeniably, one of those is Cat. Every year there are loads of people who go into the pods on dates, but only a few cast members whose journeys we really follow.

Cat really takes us through a lot in the first episodes of the show, opening up about her life, and trying to find someone to share it with. Here’s everything you need to know about Catherine “Cat” Richards, who’s causing up a stir on Love Is Blind UK.

Love Is Blind UK cast member Cat is 30 and from Jersey

Love Is Blind UK cast member Cat is from Jersey, and works as a dental nurse. On the show it says she is 29, but she posted on Instagram recently about celebrating her 30th, so it looks as though the show might have been filmed a while ago.

On the show she spoke openly about being adopted, and she was adopted by her parents when she was a baby. On her social media she has shared that she celebrates her birthday twice a year – once when she was born, and again when she was adopted by her family.

She’s also a dancer and performer!

As well as being a dental nurse, Cat is a dancer and performer. She’s done some work as a ring girl, and also dances at events held around Jersey. It looks as though she leads some commercial dance classes in her hometown, too. According to her Facebook, she has worked at O Beach in Ibiza as well.

Cat joked everyone where she lives is ‘related to everyone’ but then feared she was dating her cousin on Love Is Blind UK

Ahead of going on Love Is Blind UK, Cat said living on a small island like Jersey hasn’t helped her dating life, because everyone’s related to everyone else.

Her show bio says: “The ‘horrific’ dating scene on the small island of Jersey hasn’t exactly helped Catherine, as ‘everybody’s related to everybody.’ The dental nurse thought she’d found her future husband — until she discovered he was cheating on her right before they were set to go on vacation together. Now Catherine is ready to broaden her horizons beyond her hometown and enter the pods for another shot at true love. Ideally, she’d cross paths with a compassionate guy who understands how being adopted as a baby has shaped the course of her life.”

Buuuuut, it might at first have looked like the show wasn’t going to help her here either – because there was a big ol’ worry she was cousin to Freddie, who she dated in the pods. They shared info about their families with one another, and it was shall we say, eerily similar.

She has a very party girl Instagram account, and some Love Island connections!

Just one look on Cat’s Instagram and you can tell she’s a fun-loving, party girl. She’s always out having drinks and dinner, and hanging out with friends, plus she loves a good Ibiza holiday. She’s clearly a well-connected woman too, as she has some Islanders in her followers. She’s followed by previous Love Island winner Liam Reardon, and also 2023’s Ouzy See.
