He has since spoken out after the incident

Zac Efron has been hospitalised after an incident in the pool of a villa in Ibiza. He has spoken out since the incident, which saw two members of staff reportedly lift him out of the water “in distress”.

According to TMZ, Zac Efron was pulled from the water of the villa in Ibiza by two members of staff, and then taken to hospital in Spain as a precautionary measure. His rep described what happened as a “minor swimming incident” at the home on Friday night. It appears he was released from hospital the next morning.

TMZ noted that when the rep was asked how the incident could have been “minor” when Zac was pulled from the water and sent to hospital, they didn’t respond. The publication said he was pulled from the water “in distress” by the staff members.

Ahead of the incident, he joined DJ Martin Garrix on stage during one of his shows. Zac’s most recent project, a film called Family Affair, is on Netflix now.
