We asked the students of Sheffield for their advice for freshers
Don’t worry, we’ve all been there
If you're a Sheffield fresher – congrats! You've made an excellent choice. But that doesn't mean you'll be immune to these classic fresher's fails (and you will definitely NOT be immune to the fresher's flu, either). So we asked those who've been there and done it for some much needed advice on how to get through first year.
Paige, Third Year, Chemistry
That's why the Henry stinks
Joshua, Third Year, Zoology
You're only a Fresher once
Tilda, Third Year, English Literature
The North we salute you
Emily, Second Year, Law and Matt, First Year, Biomed
Showing up at 9ams helps
Mattie and Jonathan, Third Year, Biology and Maths
This isn't A Bug's Life
Paddy, Second Year, Molecular Biology
We'll still frantically search for the Code photographer
Jess and Josh, Fourth Year, Chemistry
If in doubt, go out
Millie, Second Year, Biomed
Easier said than done
Aly, First Year, History and Politics
Maybe not EVERY night
Ravi, Second Year, Computer Science
And if all else fails
Just see any fails as a rite of passage to second year, when you'll be wishing to go back and make the same mistakes all over again.
