22-year-old Portsmouth man missing

A 22-year old from Portsmouth is missing.

22-year old Andrew Salt was last seen by family and friends yesterday afternoon before 6pm, at his home near Portsmouth’s ferry port. This morning, there was an unconfirmed sighting of the young man in St Malo, France.

He is thought to be wearing a bright, multi-coloured Lazy Oaf raincoat, grey tracksuit bottoms, Nike Air Max trainers and black Rayban reading glasses.

His friend told The Tab this morning: “We have heard that he might be in France. His phone is out of use, and we can only contact him via Facebook, and he hasn’t been online in 24 hours. We are all so very concerned for his wellbeing”.

“[The France story] has been mentioned by someone who hadn’t mentioned it to us until now. It’s starting to add up, as his last sighting was near the ferry port, a 20-minute drive away from his home”.

“He has been filed as missing, but as it’s not been 24 hours, the police have said that we will have to wait for him to contact us. It’s not that they aren’t helping – they are following procedures – we are just feeling a bit frustrated.”

His family and friends are struggling to discuss the matter with the French police as they do not speak French.
