No one wants a big ship
Last week Aberdeen got its own filter on Snapchat and it was a monumental moment for our granite city. It was also monumentally anticlimactic when we realised we just got a big ship. Jeez Snapchat.
So here are some better ideas for snapchat filters that the people not only want, but need.
A Lecture Filter
Got a parent on Snapchat and didn’t make it your 9am/10am/any of your lectures? Problem (could be) solved.
A Weather Filter
For those typical Aberdeen days where your camera isn’t picking up on how grey, wet or windy the weather is, we deserve a Snapchat filter to convey this for us.
A Library Filter
No more broody and stereotypical pictures from the fifth floor window. A filter will make your self-pity so much more effective.
A Milk Thursday Filter
Classy and simplistic, all the things you want to be on a night at Nox. The fact that you were financially stable enough, sober enough and brave enough to last the queue means that you deserve a filter when you get in. The bathroom selfie game would be so much better.
A Skint Thursdays Filter
Attending Underground on a Thursday is something that should be celebrated. You’re sensible enough to recognise you have no money and also know you won’t make it to any of you Friday lectures. You’ve just given yourself a long weekend.
A Vanity Filter
With this filter, you’ll only need one snap in your story to sum up your night. You’re going to drink too many VKs and then fall down the stairs.
A Seagull Filter
They’re everywhere and we deserve recognition that we are walking around and avoiding these predators on a daily basis.
An Aberdream Filter
If we are only to get one filter to emphasise something crucial to the city, lets face it. It has to be a VK.
