New stats showing how many middle class your university is confirm everything you thought about the Russell Group.

Oxbridge are the unis with the least working class students. 89 per cent of people studying at the top two unis are middle class.

And almost all Russell Group universities have more middle class people than those outside the top tier of unis.

According to the Higher Education Statistics Agency, two thirds of Queen’s University Belfast are middle class – making it the lowest of the Russell Group unis.

Durham and Bristol have the highest percentage outside of Oxbridge, with 86 per cent, swiftly followed by St. Andrews with 85.

Aston, Oxford Brookes and UCLan all have the highest proportion of working class students, with only 56 per cent middle class.
