What’s your craziest memory from Freshers’ Week?

Putting a plant on your head and setting it on fire? Completed it mate

As you sit in your first 9am lecture of the term, the booze, sex and drug fuelled memories of Freshers will feel little more than a distant memory.

So we headed down to the freshers fair to find out what weird shit has been going on over the last few weeks.

Whether it’s brawling with Wills residents, drunkenly teaching yourself DIY or gardening with fire,  Bristol freshers continue to baffle us.

“It was one of the first nights and I thought placing a fake plant on my head and setting it alight would be fun.”

“On the first night I passed out and broke a cupboard off the wall with my head, on the second night I passed out again on the same cupboard but this time I broke it in half. It’s great though I feel like I’m constantly flying now!”

“It was the Back to the Future Night at the O2 Academy and we decided to embrace the theme and wrap ourselves in tinfoil. Unfortunately, no one else got the dressing up memo.”

“I was just standing outside, when I was charged at by some random tosser from Wills, I was like ‘safe mate’ and then he fell flat on his face.”

“Spurred on by how shit Lizard Lounge was, we braced torrential rain and ran all the way back from Lounge to Stoke Bishop.”

“I was sitting on the bus when I overheard a group of lads slagging of their mate because apparently he wasn’t weird enough to be cool. After half an hour of constant pressure to embrace his inner weirdness, the boy stood up cried “I’m a weirdo” and then preceded to stick his fingers down his throat and self-induce vomit.”

“There’s this guy I know who went back to a 2nd year’s house, only to find she had forgotten her key. He decided to try and get in through the window but ended up falling through, smashing it,owing £200 in damages and only getting a cuddle out of it.”

“I had an omelette at 4am, I think there was ham in it.”

Possibly the best memory of freshers I have heard in my entire 19 years of existence…omelette girl you’re my hero.
