We went to PugFest’s first birthday, and you didn’t

Yesterday PugFest celebrated its first birthday in Cardiff, attracting a large crowd of Pug owners, Pug lovers and sad lonely teens.

As the name implies it is a bizarre and surreal place.

PugFest was like stepping out of the real world and into a weird internet meme – people really are fanatical about these dogs.

And for good reason, how can they be so cute yet look so unsettlingly like a furry old ball bag all at once?

PugFest is the pugtacular epicenter of Pug enthusiasts.

The first ever PugFest is rumoured to have attracted over 800 pugs.

This year the Pug to person ratio was a little skew, nearly 1,500 Pug pilgrims made the trip to Cardiff with only 300 canines in attendance.
