Willard Preacher and Sam Richards will go head to head tonight on ‘hot topics’
And you thought the presidential debates were intense
The two most controversial people on this campus will be facing off in a hot topics debate this evening at 7:00pm in 121 Sparks. Gary Catell, better known as the Willard Preacher, is taking on Sam Richards, Soc 119 professor, who is considered one of the most dangerous profs in the country.
The Facebook event says, “Watch the two battle it out over today’s hot topics such as religion, sex and LGBT issues.” It is only a dollar donation to attend the event and all proceeds will benefit Haiti.
I wonder what his success rate is?
Each semester in Richard’s class, students are asked to create a fundraiser benefiting Haiti. Most groups just decide to donate a few dollars within their groups, so this is definitely one of the more creative and appealing ideas.
We’ll see if this rings true tonight
The Willard Preacher is probably the most conservative person on this campus while Richards tells his classes each semester that he once accidentally converted to Islam… so this is going to be interesting.
Whoever got the Preacher to agree to this is a hero.
