Clown ‘sightings’ reported at IU
Was there even a clown on campus last night?
Men in colorful costumes, red noses, clown hunting, and fear, no I’m not taking about a new horror movie coming out this holiday season, I’m talking about a “criminal fad” that seems to be sweeping the nation with a relatively terrifying speed.
Sightings of clowns have been reported across campuses including Syracuse University, University of Delaware, UMass Amherst, and University of Illinois.
And now they’ve supposedly come to Bloomington. For anyone who has fear of clowns, this is your worst nightmare played out. All you had to do was check your Snapchat or Twitter last night to see videos of “clown hunting”, tweets about seeing clowns walking, or pictures of people scared in their rooms.
Was there even a clown on campus last night? Or was this just social media driven hysteria from previous clown sightings in nearby towns. Either way I know I’m walking in pairs tonight.
