UNC alumni network ranked as one of most powerful in nation

Tar Heel born, bred, dead

Being a Tar Heel is a lifelong commitment. Luckily, our Tar Heel community is ranked as one of the best and most powerful alumni networks, with UNC’s network ranking at 16th out of 50 colleges and universities.

Best College Values compiled data such as financial contributions, employment after graduation and student ratings of network helpfulness. The site also used LinkedIn to measure the size of the alumni base that have senior positions.

This data helped create a list of 50 colleges and universities. UNC is ranked 16th, but is the second highest public university on the list behind UC Berkeley. Pretty impressive.

Each school on the list was given a score. The scores ranged from 17.70 to 30.53. UNC’s score was 25.32.

The UNC Class of 2020 received decision letters yesterday in a record-setting year of applications with some of the best academic and alumni programs in the country.
