Rutgers ranked one of the top schools in the world in new ranking

As if we needed reminding how great Rutgers is, we have officially been declared in the top 1 percent of universities in the world.
The study, which judges the best 1000 universities across the planet, placed us at 283rd. There are an estimated 26,000 universities in the world.
Beating our place of 301st last year, we also came ahead of Rutgers Newark who landed around 700th place.
MIT, Stanford and Harvard all took the top spots for another year running.
The QS World University Rankings bases their scores on the expert opinions of 75,015 academics and 40,455 employers, also analyzing institutional research impact. It’s known as the definitive guide of global university rankings.
