Rutgers junior dies of heart failure

An email was sent out this afternoon

Chancellor Richard Edwards just sent out an email to the Rutgers community about the unexpected passing of Rutgers junior, Kashish Negotia.

In the email,  Chancellor Edwards wrote:

Members of the Rutgers–New Brunswick Community:

It is with regret that I report to you the death on Friday of a Rutgers–New Brunswick student Kashish Negotia, who was 22 years old. Kashish, a junior, died of heart failure. He was a psychology major and philosophy minor in the School of Arts and Sciences and a resident of Old Bridge, New Jersey. My sympathies go out to his family and to his friends in the Rutgers community.

In keeping with his family’s religious tradition, services for Kashish were held this past weekend.

The University is offering support services from CAPS for students impacted by Kashih’s death. Appointments can be made by calling (848)932-7884.
