Johnny Depp joins Jeff Beck on stage at Sheffield City Hall

The actor appeared in Sheffield just two days after the end of his defamation trial against Amber Heard

Johnny Depp joined guitarist Jeff Beck on his European tour, to play guitar and sing at Sheffield City Hall on Sunday night. Depp performed covers of Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On.

Sheffield music fans were amazed by Depp’s surprise appearance, since his defamation trial against Amber Heard concluded only days ago.

Word spread quickly on Twitter, with fans in complete shock.

Meanwhile, Martin Rhymes said: “Just been off to see Jeff Beck at Sheffield City Hall. Johnny Depp on guest vocals – an awesome set.”

Johnny Depp calls Jeff Beck his “musical soulmate”, and appeared to be living his best life on stage at City Hall.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor has been a musician since a young age, and has previously performed with Joe Perry of Aerosmith and Alice Cooper in a supergroup named “Hollywood Vampires”.

Mr Depp’s six week defamation trial against Amber Heard officially concluded in Virginia on Friday 27th May, with the jury now deliberating the trial and reaching a verdict.

Mr Depp sued Ms Heard for £40m, for an article she wrote against her in The Washington Post where she claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse. Amber Heard counter-sued for £100m.
