It’s never too early for some festive cheer

November may have just started but Christmas is right around the corner and for everyone in Nottingham, it’s about to begin. Let’s be real, it truly is the best time of the year and anyone who says otherwise is clearly lying.

Preparations, in Nottingham are well under way with the highly anticipated Winter Wonderland opening next Tuesday. Whether you decide to go with your housemates or decide to take a date, here’s everything you need to know about this years Christmas market in Notts:

This year the market, which is located in Old Market Square, will run for a whopping seven weeks, you heard that right seven weeks! It is open from the 7th November up until 31st December.

Throughout November the market stall will be open from 10am to 8pm Friday to Saturday and 10am to 6:30pm Sunday through to Thursday. Markets are open a little longer during December opening from 10am until 9pm Friday through to Saturday and 10am to 8:30pm Sunday to Thursday.

Last year saw the introduction of the Sky Skate ice path and this year is no different – you’ll be able to skate metres above the crowds taking in the views of the Christmas lights on all the market stalls. Trust me, you have to do it.

As well as the countless stalls in Old Market Square there are all the classic attractions on offer such as the Ferris wheel, Ice bar, Sur La Piste and Altitude bar all making a return this year.

To avoid disappointment, you should pre book your chosen activities here, and you can even get a nice little discount with a valid student card – what’s not to love?
