UPDATES: Body found by Crown Place not treated as suspicious

It is no longer a police matter


Yesterday morning a body was found on the university campus by Crown Place. Merseyside police have just confirmed that the death is no longer being treated as suspicious.

They released the following statement:

“Merseyside Police can confirm that the death of a man, whose body was found in the Brownlow Hill area this morning, Monday 6 March, is not being treated as suspicious.

“The body of the man, who was in his 30s, was found at the junction of Brownlow Hill and Crown Street at 7.55am.

“A post mortem took place this afternoon and a file has been prepared for the coroner pending the findings of toxicology reports.

“The man has been identified and his next of kin will be informed.”
