Lamar Odom’s dad only let him stay on life support after Khloé gave him these two things

Khloé Kardashian has revealed what Lamar Odom’s dad demanded in return for not turning off his life support while he was in a coma, and it’s quite shocking.

In the Netflix documentary Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, Lamar opens up about his 2015 overdose, which left him fighting for his life. Lamar was found unconscious at the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada after a heavy drug binge. He ended up in a coma and suffered 12 strokes and six heart attacks.

At the time, he and Khloé were separated and in the process of divorcing, but it hadn’t been finalised yet, so she was still legally his wife. Because of that, Khloé stepped in and took charge of his care while he was in hospital.

However, things got complicated when it came to his father, Joe Odom. According to Khloé, his dad suggested turning off Lamar’s life support. She said, “His dad was there, I assume thought he’s now the beneficiary to Lamar and Joe just said ‘don’t put him on life support, turn those machines off’.”

Khloé then explained how she responded in that moment. “I remember walking in around that time and I kid you not it was a scene out of a movie, I was like ‘sorry Joe, I’m still his wife, what do you need?’”

So, what did he want?

Khloé claimed that Joe asked for money and trainers in return for stepping away. She said he wanted “$100 and a pair of Nikes.” And after she gave it to him, “he never came back.”

<p><p>She also explained why she felt she had to step in, despite their relationship being in a difficult place at the time. “This is my husband. Through sickness and health, I have to be there for him. I have to show up for him,” she said.

“And I was gonna do everything I could to make sure that he had the best fighting chance. I just trusted myself more than I trusted anyone in his circle.”
