They wrote on Instagram: “With profound sadness, the family of Mickey Lee announces her transition on Christmas in the early evening…”
In the days leading up to her death, loved ones had shared that she was hospitalised and in critical condition after suffering multiple cardiac arrests. She was being treated in intensive care, and a GoFundMe was created to help with medical expenses as her condition worsened.
Julie Chen Moonves revealed that she had recently spoken with Mickey, who shared personal details about her health history, including being born with a heart condition and surviving a serious ATV accident years earlier.
Julie wrote: “To all those praying for Mickey’s family and loved ones, we want you to know that they clarified the hole in her heart did close, so that did not contribute to her passing. In her memory, here is a portion of the interview where she reveals it while talking about being a woman of God. You are loved Mickey and we will never forget you. Rest in peace dear Mickey.”
