Love Is Blind’s Kacie claims there’s ‘more to the story’ when it comes to her and Patrick
She claims the show 'heavily edited' their journey together
Kacie has come out to claim her Love Is Blind scenes with Patrick are “heavily edited” and that there’s “more to the story” than what we all saw in the pods. She basically tried to end things, but then Patrick was led to believe they’re still dating, and it all got a bit chaotic.
She’s now getting backlash from viewers and has released a statement. She said: “I understand I have made mistakes during my time on LiB. However, there is far more to the heavily edited story than what is being aired, and I hope I can share my side soon.”
Kacie continued: “In the meantime, please leave my friends and family out of this negativity as they did not choose to be in this experiment. I did — and please stop with the death threats. [My cat] Chardonnay needs a mom.”
Even Patrick, who Kacie called off her engagement to just hours after meeting him in person, wrote: “Hey everyone, I’ve been reading the comments and DMs. I’m blown away by all the love and support — thank you. I’ll do my best to get back to everyone.”
“Please remember we’re all human. I don’t condone hate in any capacity,” he added, telling people to “take it easy” on Kacie, his other connection, Anna, and the rest of the season nine cast. He even signed it, ‘Baby seal, as he spoke about having no body hair on the show.
Patrick and Kacie are following each other on Instagram, and in an interview with Tudum, Kacie said that Patrick felt like a “stranger” after their in-person meeting and knew that if she wanted a relationship to work, she “needed to do it off camera.”
She “wanted to date him slowly at our pace at home in Denver.” In fact, she told the site that that conversation wasn’t a breakup and she intended to get to know him deeper. “I really wanted to talk to him more, pursue going on dates, and get to know each other,” she added.
Kinetic Content founder and CEO Chris Coelen told Variety: “People will draw their own conclusions about what’s happening in those moments. You can show a scene and people will draw wildly different conclusions from it. I have my own opinions about what’s going on.”
