Pete Davidson has had quite a myriad of exes, from Kim Kardashian to ex-fiancé Ariana Grande, and he recently announced he’s expecting a baby with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt.
Pete Davidson and Elsie started dating just months ago, but announced their pregnancy news at the start of the month, but how does Ariana feel about the whole thing?
Ariana and Pete started their relationship in May 2018, and got engaged just one month later, but called it quits just five months later.
In candid interviews, both Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson opened up about the causes behind the end of their relationship.
Pete admitted in an interview with Charlamagne Tha God, that he knew their relationship was over when tragic news broke that Ariana’s ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, had died.
He explained: “I was like, ‘Listen, I get it, do whatever you’ve got to do, I’ll be here.’ I think I said, ‘I’ll be here until you don’t want me to be here.’
“I pretty much knew it was around over after that. That was really horrible, and I can’t imagine what that s**t is like. All I do know is that she really loved the s**t out of him, and she wasn’t putting on a show or anything.
Ariana also commented on their split in an interview with Vogue in 2019, as she called their relationship “unrealistic.”
She said: “I met Pete, and it was an amazing distraction. It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic, and I loved him, and I didn’t know him.”
As for how the singer feels about the news her ex is having a baby, The Daily Mail revealed that an insider claimed that Ariana Grande feels “happy for Pete” after learning about his exciting announcement.
Ariana apparently “doesn’t know Elsie, she believes that Pete becoming a father is the exact thing that he needs in his life and that he will be a great dad.”
The source continued: “Everyone knows Pete’s father passed away in 9/11, and Pete will find it important to provide the best childhood possible for his child.
“Pete is looking to give it his all because he knows more than anyone that nobody is promised tomorrow.”
Another source claimed to Star: “He’s been wanting to have a kid for a long while now, and now his dream is coming true. He and Elsie are a perfect pair. They get along so well. There’s no doubt they’ll be great parents together, too.
