'We barely have enough funds for rent'
Love on the Spectrum‘s Journey Early has launched a fundraiser to access safe housing with her family. She’s set a goal of $7K and has raised over $1K so far, to help her move to safer and happier living with her family, who currently reside in Chicago, Illinois.
Treasure launches fundraiser after Love on the Spectrum
Journey, who appears on Love on the Spectrum season two, is currently looking for financial assistance with her living situation. She launched a fundraiser and wrote “Rent prices in Chicago are quickly going up and we currently live in an area that isn’t the safest.”
She said that the area is “not the best for any of our mental health,” adding, “We’ve luckily found a new apartment to live in but we don’t have the funds for the down payment. We barely have enough funds each month for rent, and I am recently out of a job.”
“I can’t assist with bills anymore until I find a new one. So it is only getting harder to find an adequate place that will approve us to live there. Please consider donating! Even a small donation of $5 or $10 will help us. Thank you!” continued Journey.
So far, over $1K has been donated, with an overall goal of $7K. Some people have donated as much as $150 at a time! Journey was only 18 when she joined the Netflix show, and lives in Chicago with her mom, dad, and brother, who are all extremely supportive of her dating.
She was diagnosed with autism only a year before she joined the cast, which helped affirm many of her past experiences and answer even more questions. “I was actually really excited,” she said about the diagnosis. “I used to think I was crazy.”
